I just went through this choice and I tried Dashlane this morning and the more I got involved with it and looked at their marketing practices and their software legacy I felt that they were a company that looked at security as a means to an end where 1Password feels to me like a company built around security with protecting their customer base as their core competence. Yes, UI design is a plus, but that is not how I choose a company who i'll entrust my passwords I will always go with the company that put "Security" on top on their goal list, and that is my friend no doubt is 1Password.
